If you are using your own scanned photos please make sure that they are (min. 800 dpi) or taken with a digital camera  ( 3+ meg would be better) , the pictures should be at least 720 horizontal x 480 vertical pixels.

A photo around 1024 X 768 is probably the best size to use.

Please remember when selecting you photos the higher the resolution, the better your photos will look on the screen, so up to 600 pixels/inch is great. Unfortunately, less will result in a very grainy picture.

You need the save the images as JPEGS .

Try and use horizontal shots than vertical shots. The reason for this is that TV screens are wider than they are high, so horizontal shots fill the screen and look much better.

Choose the pictures that bright, sharp that show character and personality, well as photos that have groups and action in them to reveal the most important monents. Remember to put your photos in the order you desire (naming them 001.jpg, 002.jpg, 003.jpg, etc.), before filling your order.

With your DVD show there are special effects, transitions from picture to picture so that the picture moe smoth and slow during the entire show. The transitions add an element of movement and life to your production. Transitions range from the basic dissolves and wipes, to 3D transitions with quality special effects.

A photo show of 50 photos is about a 15 to 20 minute production. And a show of 100 photos is about a 30 to 45 minute production.

It varies on the lenght or time of the music that you supply.

Usually each photo during the show will appear for between 10-15 seconds, with a wipe between each photo about 5 seconds. But this can vary depending on the nature of the photos, the tempo of the music and the special effect transitions.
